Who are we? 

The bioMérieux Endowment Fund for Education, a nonprofit organization created in 2020, works in favor of equal opportunities. It aims to reduce inequalities through and within education so that everyone can find their place in the world.

Our mission?

The bioMérieux Endowment Fund for Education supports projects that benefit disadvantaged young children  (ages 0-8) around the world. The Fund believes that early childhood education is key to fostering essential, fundamental skills as well as emotional and cognitive development - laying the foundation for a brighter future.

What does the Fund offer?  

  • Financial support ranging from €30,000 to €200,000, over a period of 1 to 3 years,
  • Personalized and efficient project progress monitoring by a dedicated bioMérieux 'Project Partner',
  • Targeted operational support from local teams, when needed,
  • Proven expertise in project management and strategic guidance on project objectives.

Clarification on the 'bioMérieux Sponsor / Project Partner'

Each application must be supported by a bioMérieux Sponsor - a bioMérieux team member who will endorse and support your application during the Call for Projects, and then monitor its progress throughout its implementation, should it be selected by the Fund.

If you are interested in applying but do not know any bioMérieux team members, please contact us at endowmentfund@biomerieux.com. In your email, include the name of your Regional Coordinator in the subject line, based on your project's location. 

  • If your project is based in Asia Pacific, your Regional Coordinator is Emily ZHANG.
  • If your project is based in Europe Middle East (except France), your Regional Coordinator is Raffaella CATENA.
  • If your project is based in North America, your Regional Coordinator is Maya BALAKRISHNAN.
  • If your project is based in Latin America, your Regional Coordinator is Paula MACIAS.
  • If your project is based in Africa, your Regional Coordinator is Patricia AYANDOKUN.
  • If your project is based in France, your Regional Coordinator is Sophie ABLOTT.

We will connect you with the appropriate Sponsor to support your application.
